YouTube employs a tool called Content ID, which enables music creators to safeguard their tracks against piracy and inappropriate use. Additionally, YouTube collaborates with services such as AdRev, HAAWK, Identifyy, and others to monitor the utilization and monetization of tracks registered through these platforms. By allowing our artists to register their tracks with rights management services, we provide an additional layer of protection for their copyrighted and creative works in the digital era. Essentially, this ensures that only authorized and licensed usage is permitted across various online platforms.
As per their support article titled “How Content ID Works,” YouTube offers a system called Content ID, which enables copyright owners to easily identify and manage their content on the platform. Uploaded videos undergo scanning against a database of files submitted by content owners. When a match is found between the video and a work owned by the copyright holder, a Content ID claim is generated, and the copyright owner determines the course of action. While Content ID serves as a powerful tool to protect creative works and combat piracy, it is primarily an automated system and may not always be flawless. For example, it can mistakenly flag a track that possesses the correct license, resulting in a claim being issued. This claim might hinder monetization for a specific video but does not result in a copyright strike against your channel.
MD Stock Sound music is considered royalty-free because we do not impose royalties on the tracks you utilize in your projects, regardless of the manner in which you use them. However, it is important to note that this does not guarantee that the music is free from copyright by the artist. To safeguard copyrighted music from unauthorized use, YouTube Content ID serves as a protective measure.
